Digital Prodigy International has designed and developed state of the art medical and Healthcare applications which connected the doctors in remote and less developed areas with specialists at distant location on low speed dialup connection. This Healthcare application was made highly usable for novice computer users by implementing wizards, fewer navigation paths and latest UI methods to make doctors actually use the system; hence addressing the biggest barrier to entry for telemedicine.

The Healthcare application was later used at a major earthquake struck on Oct. 9 2005 hitting remote northern areas of Pakistan. With the help of ITU and Intel, DPI deployed its Telemedicine solution using satellite connectivity and laptops. Doctors at disaster hit areas did not have time for training and required a Healthcare application as easy as Step 1-2-3 to be effective. Our strong focus on usability proved to be extremely effective in this case. Also the standards based approach, 3rd party h/w support and customizability made this solution usable with minimal upfront investments.
